The Oklahoma City Home School Patriots traveled to Lenexa, Kansas to face off against the Christ Preparatory Academy Patriots Saturday October 14th losing 28-19.
The Christ Prep Patriots started the scoring for the game getting to a quick 0-8 after completing a 2Pt conversion. The OKC Patriots would match the Christ Prep touchdown but only kick a field goal making it 7-8. Christ Prep would score again off a kick return but failed their two-point conversion.
In the second quarter, the teams would continue to throw body punches at each other both scoring once with OKC missing an extra point and Christ Prep converting another two-point play.
After a gridlocked third quarter where neither team scored the two teams would match scores in the 4th. Christ Prep struck first and would then try another two-point conversion but failed again. The OKC Patriots would score last touchdown and also failed their two-point conversion attempt. The OKC Patriots couldn’t complete their comeback and the game ended with the Oklahoma team coming up short.
The Homeschool Patriots fell to 4-3 after this loss and will play at home against the Lighthouse Christian Chargers from Springfield Missouri who are 1-5. This matchup will be on October 27th.
