Join EPIC News Network

by Phil Cross

The EPIC News Network is a student-driven news organization created by EPIC Charter Schools.  The news network works with students to craft original stories from every corner of Oklahoma.  The program is open for high school students enrolled in EPIC Charter Schools who are interested in journalism.  The news network also features the work of the co-directors of the program, veteran journalists M. Scott Carter and Phil Cross.

Working with the EPIC News Network will give you hands-on experience with all aspects of journalism. Whether you want to be a reporter, photographer, editor or designer, EPIC News has a place for your special talents.

Students interested in joining the EPIC News Network can ask their teacher or their graduation support manager to add the EPIC News Network to their schedule. Elective credit is available through the Next Step program.

EPIC News Network also accepts contributions from EPIC faculty and staff, click here for details on the submission guidelines.

For more information about the program or how you could get involved, contact program coordinator Phil Cross.
