Comically Speaking: Heat Wave

OKLAHOMA CITY – The continent of Antarctica is experience a heat wave that is causing major changes to the ice and snow. Recent images online show a “blood snow” in parts of the once frozen land. The creepy colors are caused by algae that is growing during the Antarctica summer which is experiencing a record-breaking heat wave.

Concerns about the changes to the climate inspired this artwork by ENN’s Adelind Hamilton. She hopes it inspires others to take a closer look at the environment and changes to the climate.
