EPIC Students Inducted into National Honor Society

OKLAHOMA CITY – The EPIC Charter School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) held the first of two induction ceremonies for the 2019-2020 school year.

The National Honor Society is the oldest national student honor association in the country.  Students are invited to join the NHS based on their commitment to values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.  These values form the four pillars of the organization and have been associated with NHS since its founding in 1921.

This year, the EPIC Charter Schools Chapter inducted 117 members into the National Junior Honor Society and 73 students into the National Honor Society.

The ceremony in Oklahoma City highlighted the four pillars of NHS.  Students also heard from chapter president, and EPIC student, Emily Sanders.

A second ceremony is planned for Tulsa for the formal induction of new members into the state’s largest virtual charter school chapter of NHS and NJHS.
