Abigail Dawson’s journey through Epic is a testament to resilience, faith and the pursuit of excellence.

Since eighth grade, she has thrived within the Epic community, embracing opportunities that have shaped her into the individual she is today and led to her being named Epic’s first-semester Student Excellence Award winner.

Vital to Dawson’s story is her unwavering faith. Her journey has been guided by a deep belief in God, who has been her source of strength and self-worth, she said, explaining: “The whole reason I’m here is because of the Lord.”

One of the pivotal moments in Dawson’s Epic experience has been her enrollment in the Epic Collegiate Academy. The program provided her with opportunities for growth and development.

Beyond academics, Dawson has found passion in archery, winning several awards for her skill. For her, archery serves as more than just a hobby — it’s a way to measure her progress and see the results of her hard work.

Managing her academic pursuits, extracurricular activities and personal goals requires discipline and organization. Dawson relies on firm deadlines and an hourly agenda calendar to stay on track and make the most of her time.

Looking ahead, Dawson is driven by a desire to make a difference in people’s lives through studying criminal justice or strategic intelligence.

Dawson’s parents have been a constant source of support and encouragement throughout her journey. “She’s the best daughter in the world,” her father proudly declared.

As Dawson prepares for the next chapter of her journey, she is considering Patrick Henry College in Virginia for strategic intelligence in national security or Oklahoma Christian University for criminal justice. Both institutions have recognized her academic excellence with scholarships, including the prestigious Epic Difference Maker award from OC.
