Articles for Epic News Network should cover the who, what, when, where, why and how of the story. Stories will be reviewed for factual accuracy, clarity and balance.
Photographs, or photo essays, must be the photographer’s original work. Pictures should be clear and not display offensive material.
If you have questions about the submission process, please contact the newsroom using the form on the contact us page.

COMMENT POLICY
We want to encourage the public discussion on our stories. Comments should include the author’s real name. However, comments must not violate the school’s anti-bullying policies. Comments with personal attacks or vulgarity will be deleted and reported.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The Epic News Network is more than just a school newspaper.
We are all things journalism and creative media. Our courses allow students to get hands-on learning taught by professional media instructors.
The program offers specialty courses for students interested in journalism, photography, video production, and audio production. Courses are available for everyone from the new learner to the old pro. These courses can all be completed entirely at home, but there are in-person lab activities offered in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. In-person labs may be scheduled at other locations around the state depending on enrollment and instructor availability.
We also have 100% in-person options for Comet Academy students at 50 Penn and Tulsa's Logan building. Tulsa VLC students are also able to participate in a number of our in-person courses held at the Logan building location.
The student journalism program also offers Next Step-qualifying internships and courses. The Epic News Network and Advanced Media courses will prepare students for their next step by training them in industry-standard software. Students will also be able to contribute to the leadership of the program's award-winning publications.
As a publicly-funded school, our work is your work. In return we want to make sure the stories, pictures and videos created by our students is seen across Oklahoma.
All we ask is you give credit to the students and staff at the EPIC News Network.
If you want to use a story we have published, please include the appropriate byline and credit to the Epic News Network, a journalism program created through Epic Charter Schools.
Broadcasters, the same rules apply to our video stories. If you see something you would like to air, let us know. Our students and staff can do custom out-cues for your broadcast. With advanced notice and agreement, we can also provide custom intros and tags using our virtual studio sets.
Bottom line? We want to help your news outlet get access to great content by our talented staff and students.
