Photo Essay: How Covid-19 Has Changed Life In Downtown Oklahoma City

by Noah Lewis

Due to the coronavirus lockdown, my friends and I can no longer hang out at each other’s houses. Because of this, I organized an adventure downtown to see if we could climb the boulder by the downtown library.

On the way, it was hard not to notice how quiet it seemed in comparison to just a couple months ago. With lockdown going on and various buildings and businesses closed, it was no surprise that downtown OKC looked so empty, but it seemed strange nonetheless.

Few people were driving around and even fewer were walking on the sidewalks. Those that were walking kept their distance and some even wore masks. In many of the following pictures, I tried to capture what it felt like to be in downtown OKC.
