OKLAHOMA CITY – The recent economic turmoil was made worse thanks to a price war on oil. Oil producing countries that make up OPEC and Russia failed to reach a deal in their negotiations which sparked the price war. As noted in NonDoc, oil and gas activity has a large impact on Oklahoma. The energy sector is also a driver of more than just economic policy, it has shaped the country’s political response to changes in climate and how to address environmental concerns.
